Billing Specialist

Location – Indianapolis, IN  (Main Office)

At Advanced OrthoPro our mission is to care for and about our patients and treat them professionally while striving to provide the highest caliber of products and services available. As a part of our billing team, you will especially be a huge part of this mission as we strive to ensure that our patients receive the best treatment from their initial appointment to settling their financial responsibilities.

  • Answering patient and insurance calls regarding financial responsibilities 
  • Researching account balances and following up with patients or insurance carriers 
  • Reviewing, researching, and working denied or underpaid insurance claims
  • Verifying payment information and preparing information for external collection agencies
  • Resolving billing discrepancies and preparing adjustments to bill as necessary
  • Processing refunds or recoupment notices as necessary
  • Follow up on patient or insurance information
  • Verifying claim receipts on insurance end
  • Preparation and sending of appealed claims
  • Preparing patient statements on a monthly basis
  • Other duties as assigned

The job skills we require for this position includes excellent and professional customer service skills time management and multitasking skills.  You must have the ability to communicate and work professionally with all internal and external sources and have the willingness to learn and grow within the company.  Some billing experience is preferred but not required.

 

Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician

Location – Indianapolis, IN  (In-house Fabrication Facility, Main Office)

We have opportunities for orthotic and prosthetic techinicians.  Must be able to take instructions and fulfill your daily duties.  You will be required to maintain regular attendance and open to be cross-trained in other areas where needed.  Some prosthetic duties include but not limited to mold modification, lamination and  finish covering of all devices.  Orthotic duties will include but not limited to mold modification, working with plastic, braces and metals.  On the job training is provided. 

Account Representative

Location – Indianapolis, IN  (Main Office)

  • Researches any overdue account balance that is fully or partially unpaid and follows up with insurance carrier or patient on delinquent payments
  • Reviews claims denied for payment and underpaid claims
  • Verifies payment information for delinquent accounts by preparing information for external collection agencies
  • Responds to customer inquiries regarding account status
  • Researches customer’s accounts thoroughly and documents appropriately
  • Resolves billing/payment discrepancies and prepares refunds and adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensures that all billing information is entered accurately into the computer system
  • Brings recurring issues to the attention of the Office Manager
  • Initiates payments and resubmits bills as necessary
  • Pursues patient for payment obligations when insurance defaults
  • Process refunds or recoupment notices immediately to the government if overpayments have occurred
  • Answers incoming calls as needed
  • Performs routine filing of accounting paperwork
  • May fax or follow up on patient information to referral sources to assist with the timely processing of paperwork
  • Work denial reports on a weekly basis
  • Maintain current status on Navigator bar on a daily basis
  • Miscellaneous clerical duties as needed
  • Assist with preparing patient statements on a monthly basis
  • Complies with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Skills Required:  You must possess excellent customer service skills and have the ability to adapt to change with little or no advance notice.  Ability to get along well with others (patients, co-workers, referral sources, etc.)  Must be professional at all times and communicate well with others. 

Front Office Administrative Assistant

Location – Indianapolis, IN  (Main Office)

Job Duties:

  • Will work all of the Insurance Authorization appeals in a timely manner.
  •  Performs the verification of information for our Riley location. 
  • Performs authorization initialization and follow up for our Riley Location. 
  • Cross trained for Authorization Specialist position and will fill in here as needed.
  • Controls all incoming hospital orders. Prepares “yellow” copy for Specialist, gathers allrequired information and places the order in the computer. Notifies Specialist when order is ready
  • Helps to answer incoming calls. 
  • Manages the faxed referrals. Makes sure these are getting done daily by doing herself or asking for assistance. These referrals should be responded to same day when possible, next day at the latest.  
  • Scans in hospital face sheets and updates address and phone number
  • Crossed trained for front desk and fills in here as necessary

     

    Job Skills Required:  Must possess excellent Customer Service skills and have the ability to communicate in a professional manner with all internal and external sources.  The appliant should be able to structure the work day for several different tasks to be completed while having the consistency to watch for dealines and dates.  Must be able to work independently, have the ability to pay close attention to details with accuracy and get along with others (patient, co-workers, referral sources and management).
